Contact Jeff
Jeff Vinson brings over thirty years of experience in tax and business consulting, compliance, and planning. He graduated from Texas Tech University in May of 1992 with a Bachelor's in Accounting and a Master of Science in Accounting with an emphasis in Taxation. He started his accounting career with the international accounting firm KPMG. He moved back to Lubbock in 1996 working for a local firm before starting his own firm in 2001. He merged his practice into the former Caraway McMahon & Company (McMahon Vinson Hubbard & Armstrong, LLP) in 2013 where he currently serves as managing partner. Jeff grew up in Dalhart, Texas.
Jeff has served many individuals and businesses with tax compliance and planning needs over his thirty-plus-year career. This includes assisting these clients with entity formation and tax planning to maximize tax savings and to optimize overall business planning. He has worked with these clients on tax planning strategies to avoid tax traps and minimize taxation in business mergers and acquisitions. He has also worked with individuals to assist with estate and trust planning to minimize or avoid estate tax and protect assets to be passed on to the next generation. Additionally, he works with many clients with their accounting and overall business planning.
Jeff is a member of the AICPA, TSCPA, and the local chapter of TSCPA and has served in the United Way Loaned Executive Program, on the United Way Stewardship Review Committee, as a TSCPA Director, on the Hospice of Lubbock Board of Directors, on the board for Meals On Wheels, and currently on the Trinity School Foundation Board of Directors.
